O Lord, the music! Simply great. (And the car crashes are some fun too.)
Gerhard Polt as his best. Requires basic understanding of Bavarian, the Bavarians and their politics. Quote:
"My dear Tschurangrattlers..."
The ONLY funny road trip I've ever seen and probably the only road trip movie going into philosophy. Quote:
"Given infinite time and an infinitie universe, even the impossible is inevitable."
Frida and Ray
Two excellent portraits of two of my favourite artists.
El Mariachi and Once upon a Time in Mexico
Number one and three out of a triology, directed by Robert Rodriguez. They're the reason why I consider Rodriguez equal to Tarantino.
Kill Bill I/II
Quentin Tarantino & Uma Thurman. What else does a decently blood soaked movie need?
There's the proof that french women deserve to be famous.
Todo sobre mi madre and Volver
These movies are extremely tough, but with such beauty - Pedro Almodóvar is a magician!
Not a movie but mentionable: Black Adder
Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean is ok, as Black Adder he's a genius. It explains quite a lot of european history.
Last but not least: Saving Grace
That movie's a keeper. Quotes:
"I'm glad to see she's keeping up the village tradition of total contempt for the law." and
"I like Matthew. He's a good soul... for a Scotsman." (I guess, the Cornish are Britain's Bavarians.)
